So apparently I write the worst blogs of everyone on the PBR crew. Really, people? Really? Do honestly believe Derek D writes better than me, Dennis-the-Intern? #whatever That hurts. That really hurts. So, because I lost this twitter poll, the guys have me writing blogs till my fingers fall off. Anyway, back to the topic at hand … Mexican Wrestling!
Alex Abrahantes from Super Kick It, Lucha Libre organization joins the boys in The Speakeasy for this episode, and we peel back the layers of this wrestling extravaganza. They don’t let me sit in as punishment for losing the twitter poll, but I’m in the wings on this one and let me tell you what we have cooking. Mike Pullano has challenged The Derek D to meet him in the ring at one of these upcoming Super Kick It shows.
Alex explains that SuperKick Lucha Libre is a new Mexican Wrestling show coming to House of Independents in Asbury Park, NJ on a regular basis. The debut performance is this coming Saturday night, 4/16/16, doors at 7PM, show at 8PM. Get your tickets now! As this episode unfolds, Alex suggests Mike and Derek form a tag team and take on some of the Super Kick regulars … either the biggest and badest -or- the minis!?! Top or Bottom … GO!
Who do you want to see the boys take on in that Lucha Libre ring? Either way, let’s just say Franki and I will be ringside!
Back to our guest, Alex Abrahantes. Alex has an interesting career trajectory. He’s been an actor on One Life to Live. He has been in the Pro Wrestling Industry for two decades. He was trained in Calgary at the Hart Brothers Wrestling School known as the Dungeon. After wrestling on the independent circuit for several years, he landed a job as the youngest member of the creative team at the WWE. From there he went on to become a Producer and Web Content developer for TNA Wrestling. Alex was then asked to become the Vice President and Booker of Lucha Libre USA. He was also the head writer for Masked Warriors on MTV2. He's also the Spanish play by play commentator at Ring of Honor Wrestling. Alex is now the co creator and Booker for SuperKick, which is a new theatrical Lucha production.
SuperKick is a theatrical Lucha Libre show unlike any other wrestling experience out there. It's tailored for the mainstream. You do not need to be a wrestling fan to enjoy it. It's comedic, over the top and will feature exciting in ring action. Don’t miss this kick ass show. Dennis-the-Intern will not miss it!
Keep it real, people!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
